"JUST A KISS AWAY": TAMMY FAYE SINGS THE JAGGER/RICHARDS SONGBOOK
Tammy Faye Starlite, noted chanteuse/evangeliste/provocateuse, is celebrating the festive month of Rocktober in the style of her cabaret mentors (Karen Akers, Ann Hampton Calloway, Anita Bryant) by paying tribute to a classic songwriting team with a month of Thursdays at Pangea that she calls "Just A Kiss Away": Tammy Faye Sings the Jagger/Richards Songbook.
Starting Thursday, October 5 and continuing through October 26, she will interpret a different Rolling Stones album in its entirety, beginning with the seminal country-blues encomium to Appalachia, "Beggars Banquet". At each performance, shell be joined by guitarists Keith Hartel and Richard Feridun, adding additional musicians and instruments over the course of the run as the repertoire mandates.

Thursday, October 5: Beggars Banquet
October 12: Let It Bleed
October 19: Sticky Fingers
October 26: Exile On Main Street (most of it)
She commented, I feel there is a national feeling of love and bonhomie and joy in our (almost!) great country right now, and what better way to pay homage to this Era of Good Feelings than with such glorious albums that salute true American values filtered through the words and music of our foreign allies, all the more passionate because those who don't live here often appreciate our freedoms more than many who (for the moment) do live here. We intend to honor the delicate and specific nature of the original arrangements of these songs, and give back to those who have taken our music from us and then returned it in such magnificent packages of true patriotism."

Seating at Pangea is communal. Other guests may be seated at the table. There is a $20 per person food or beverage minimum at the tables. DINNER SEATING BEGINS AT 6:30PM.
Please arrive one half hour prior to the show and allow additional time if you are planning to have a dinner.
Late arrivals will be seated at management's discretion.
