CANCELLED (due to fires): Oak-Woodland Ecosystem Hike
The Oak Woodland is a uniquely California landscape, and with up to 10 species of oak found in Sonoma County, these iconic trees and shrubs provide critical habitat for many other plants and animals - including humans! We will identify at least five species and discuss their importance and value as habitat and food sources, and outline the many challenges they face in the future and what we can do to preserve them.
