DIY Musician Tour of Hatch Show Print Letterpress

Attendees of the DIY Musician Conference may purchase a discounted ticket for a one-hour tour of an amazing piece of Nashville music history: Hatch Show Print. This letterpress has been operating since the late 1800s and has printed thousands of concert posters using this historic printing technique. Take advantage of your visit to Nashville by catching this special group tour with fellow musicians attending the DIY Musician Conference.
The tour of legendary Hatch Show Print will engage your senses: Listen to the presses crank as you learn more about the history of Hatch Show Print, see the brilliantly colored posters that put the shop on the map in the last century and compare them with the posters printed today for your favorite entertainers, handle some of the tools of the trade and smell the ink
IMPORTANT: Once purchasing your ticket, you must be present to check in for the tour at 4:20 pm on August 27, 2017 (SUNDAY) at the Country Music Hall of Fames Information Desk, just inside the Demonbreun Street entrance (you can get there without leaving the building of the Omni Hotel; there is a hallway connecting directly from the Omni Hotel.) Have your email address used for purchasing the ticket and ID ready to show a DIY conference staff person.
