CRIS WILLIAMSON: NEW SONGS SALON IN COLORADO SPRINGS
Oh, but it is crazy out there! Don't we all need some place of safety and sanity and sanctuary, some place where music and poetry and close companions can come together? The answer, of course, is YES! I think so, too. In that regard, I am doing some concerts in the months to come, intimate and strong in nature, to which I beckon all of you. We are reaching out to our Inner Circle, our steadfast supporters, to come to this combination fundraiser and concert, where I will be sharing the funds raised with individual organizations who are sponsoring these shows. My half of the funds raised will complete the funding for my new cd.

I will be singing songs from this new album, as well as some old faves. In addition, I am going to preview new works, songs I've not yet recorded, but are there in the hopper, ready for you to listen to and learn. Let's spend time together. Let the light and hope prevail during these strange times. There is nowhere else to turn but to each other as we always have, and strive to deliver Beauty back into the world. Please come and find me, and thereby, find your friends and your Self.

With 30-some recordings to her credit, Cris Williamson is best know for her classic album, The Changer And The Changed. Released in 1975 on Olivia Records, this music became the soundtrack of a movement, and was key in the launch of what would become known as Women's Music, music which was created, performed, and marketed specifically by and for women. Today, this record remains a favorite of so many people, and one of the best-selling independent releases of all time - and was recently honored by NPR as one of the most important albums by women.
