An evening with Slow Season. Local surf rock band Ozone Barbeque will open the concert.
The Central California hard rock band Slow Season, comprised of Daniel Rice (vocals, guitar), David Kent (guitar), Hayden Doyel (bass), and Cody Tarbell (drums) scales new heights, while recognizing where it all began with their second full-length album "Mountains," released on Riding Easy Records. It could very well be the sixties, seventies, or now. It almost doesnt matter though because this is hypnotic, heavy, and howling rock n roll that defies both musical and temporal categorization.
Influenced by Toad, Budgie, Led Zeppelin, Canned Heat, James Brown, Funkadelic, Delaney and Bonnie, and Neil Young, Slow Season first emerged in 2012 with their self-titled debut. Supported by shows throughout California and nationally, they began to garner palpable buzz. Now, "Mountains" kicks off their next chapter. However, theyll continue to exist within an epoch of their own.
Ozone BBQ cooks up a hard rocking set that will open up your ears and get you on your feet. With Steve Reaves on bass, Michael Burton on guitar and Chris Campbell on drums, this is a surf rock power trio with a lot of style thats not to be missed.
The show is underwritten by Premier Glass and Cabinet, Empire Contracting, Positive Drywall, Schmidt Construction and HSH Construction.
The Arena Theater bar and snack stand will be open.
