LGBTQ in Shin Buddhism Seminar
The first known Buddhist same-sex marriages took place in the early 1970s, at the Buddhist Church of San Francisco. Jeff Wilson, "A Big Gay History of Same-sex Marriage in the Sangha".
Join us at Seattle Buddhist Temple as we explore Shin Buddhism's historical and modern relationship with sexuality, gender and acceptance.
Speakers include:
Marsha and Aiden Aizumi, co-authors of Two Spirits, One Heart.
Rev. Dr. Jeff Wilson, author of Buddhism of the Heart.
Panel featuring local LGBTQ Buddhists, moderated by Sensei Elaine Donlin, Buddhist Church of San Francisco.
