This magical evening will transport you from the nightclubs of Egypt to the sands of Morocco, as Beyond Orient unveils the mysteries of bellydance--- its origins, transformation over the past century, and innovative fusion with other dance forms. A feast for the eyes and ears, Beyond Orient reveals the vast riches of Middle Eastern music and dance.
The dancers in this show have won national awards, taught and performed around the world, and appeared on television in the US and abroad. Feature dancers include Habib from Arizona, Helene Eriksen from Germany, Troupe Unmata from California, local artists Sabura, Elizabeth Dennis, Tina Sargent, Manon, and many more. The event is co-sponsored by the Seattle Arts Commission, 4Culture and Middle East Arts International.
