Lets face it, funny is sexy... but combining the two can be challenging. This movement class teaches the basics of showcasing all your glorious sexiness as well as your silly side, onstage and off. Learn how to make your audience belly laugh and become smitten by you simultaneously. We will explore ways to approach and build your comedic side, share your sense of humor and your sex appeal with an audience. Laffs and ass! Giggle with da jiggle! PLEASE BRING A PAIR OF LONG GLOVES.
About the Instructor: International burlesque star MINNIE TONKA hails from the Land of 10,000 Lakes - that's Minnesota - but is currently based in NYC. Known as the One Woman Riot, Minnie's striptease has been dazzling audiences across the globe since 2004. She produces the annual Menorah Horah Hanukkah show; is a producer and star of Dangerous Curves Ahead: Burlesque on the Go-Go, the USA's premier national touring burlesque troupe; and more. Her lusty hilarity has graced the stages of the Burlesque Hall of Fame, The New York, Dallas, Toronto, and Vancouver Burlesque Festivals, Show-Me Burlesque Festival, Midwest Burlesk Festival, Tease-O-Rama, and the Key West Burlesque Holiday Extravaganza. This past fall, Minnie took Australia by storm in a month-long coast-to-coast tour! Minnie is a multiple-time New York Burlesque Festival Golden Pastie Award Winner and was voted #34 in the Top International Burlesque Industry Figures of 2011.
