The 12th Annual Trinity Jazz Festival features some of the finest jazz talent in America. Tom Scott, Kim Prevost & Bill Solley,Robin Eubanks and Sebastian Whittaker.
Friday, January 25, 2013 8 PM - Opener - Kim Prevost,vocalist & guitarist Bill Solley. Kim and Bill are an excellent due, very musical with a lot of talent and passion for the music, it's always a real pleasure to listen to Kim's beautiful voice and the flying fingers of Bill, a great treat to your ears.
9:30 PM - Featured Act - Tom Scott, Saxophone Tom Scott is a renowned composer, arranger, producer, musical director and saxophonist. His twenty-nine solo recordings have earned three Grammy Awards and fourteen Grammy nominations.
Saturday, January 26, 2013 8 PM - Opener - Sebastian Whittaker - Drums Sebastian, Houston's critically acclaimed drummer extraordinaire, is showing us the rich tradition of fiery jazz drumming and high caliber jazz composition with his band the Creators.
9:30 PM - Featured act - Robin Eubanks - Trombone Robin is the premier jazz trombonist of his generation. Whether performing with his groups, Mental Images or EB3 and with the critically acclaimed Dave Holland Quintet and Big Band-with whom he was an original member-Robin is an artist whose impact on audiences has proven powerful and lasting.
Returning this year a performance at 6:30 by the jazz group, COTS Jazz Crew, whose members consist of formerly homeless but talented musicians who are turning their lives around. COTS Jazz Crew will perform during the pre-concert receptions.
