IRT Presents- Najee Brown's Bus Stop
IN RESIDENCE: October 24-30, 2017

Bus Stop is a play that centers around the lives of five women who although are very different, each have one thing in common. Mahogany, Katrina, Beverly, Isabella and Deborah all have a loved one who is incarcerated. However these women are as different as can be. The bus stop is the common place where they all meet up to go to the prison. At first the women feel as if all they have in common is the trip upstate, but they soon find out that they are more connected than they ever thought they could be. As time progresses the women become increasingly close, experiencing fights along with happy times, forming bonds that can last a lifetime.

TIME: 7:30 PM

PLEASE DONATE TO IRT THEATER

IRT Theater is a grassroots laboratory for independent theater and performance in New York City, providing space and support to a new generation of artists. Tucked away in the old Archive Building in Greenwich Village, IRTs mission is to build a community of emerging and established artists by creating a home for the development and presentation of new work. Some of the artists we have supported include Young Jean Lee, Reggie Watts and Mike Daisey.

This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York State Council on the Arts and The Nancy Quinn Fund, a project of ART-NY.
