When in Bloom
Flowers are blooming at Sonoma Garden Park! Join Natasha Drengson on Saturday, August 12th from 10-1pm for a flower arrangement workshop, utilizing fresh flowers from the garden. The workshop will focus on wedding bouquets and even boutonnieres. For those who just want to make a centerpiece arrangement, simply bring a vase and your own clippers! You are welcome to bring additional flowers to add to your arrangement.
Natasha Drengson began her floral career in 1982 working in secret for a local florist. In 1992 she opened her own flower shop, Tashas Floral Design, following that up in 2000 with a second shop, Tashas Flowers. During her 35-year career she has worked throughout the Bay Area for a variety of high-end floral designers, and traveled the country for Flaxx Floral Design, lending her expertise to hundreds of weddings and other events. Today Natasha grows food and edible flowers for her sister's catering business, and says, "I just cant keep my hands off nature."
As a special thanks, this workshop is free of charge to Sonoma Ecology Center members and Sonoma Garden Park volunteers. General admission $35 for non-SEC members. 40 places available, first come first serve.
