Connection Lab
In this experiential retreat, we will learn how to live healthier, more fulfilling lives by bridging the connection between our hearts and minds and deepening our connection to others.

We will cultivate science-based tools for optimized performance, self-regulation and stress relief based on three decades of research by the Heart Math Institute, and acquire powerful communication skills based on the teachings of The Compassionate Listening Project.

You will come out of this transformative retreat with sustainable practices for healing and self-care, and with communication tools that can be applied immediately in a variety of real-life situations, allowing you to connect with yourself and with others compassionately, authentically and effectively.

The retreat will take place at Meadowhawk, a Japanese inspired retreat house built with Douglas fir and Cedar groves. The property has two ponds and a seasonal wetland, as well as expanding food and flower gardens. It is easily accessible from Seattle via the Bainbridge Ferry. Overnight accommodation is available for interested individuals. Please inquire with the hosts if interested. Camping on the property is also available and plentiful.

RETREAT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

-All- inclusive, organic, vegetarian meals prepared by our hosts
-Movement sessions led by Matt Drews
-Healing rituals by a surprise guest
-Shamanic journeying (optional) for the ones staying overnight

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

-Discover the most recent science on the crucial role the heart plays in self-regulation and connection
-Maximize our communication potential. Acquire practices to create a safe conversational space where information can flow
-Cultivate self-care tools. Increase your capacity for personal resilience, balance, and strength to meet challenging life situations

-View conflict as an opportunity to further our understanding of each other, find common ground and inspire creative solutions
-Deepen our self-awareness
-Access the innate intuition of our bodies, and learn how to use it for decision-making and crucial conversations
