BLOODY POETRY | Invulnerable Nothings
After sold out residencies at The Brooklyn Art Library and The Secret Theater Austin, Invulnerable Nothings presents the (un)Staged Reading series alongside Howard Brenton's Bloody Poetry.
This rep production appears for intimate audiences in site responsive stagings and coincides with significant bicentennial celebrations around the Romantics. Brenton's play details the historical dramas and complex ménage à quatre of Mary Shelley, P.B. Shelley, Claire Clairmont, and Lord Byron from 1816 until Shelley's death in 1822, while the (un)Staged Readings explore new theatrical potentials in Cain, Prometheus Unbound, and Frankenstein. A "Romantic project of theatrical conjuring" (Austin Chronicle).
Invulnerable Nothings is a Brooklyn-based theatre collective committed to collaborations between US and UK artists.
