Foxy Tann and HardCore Pasties bring to you everything you need to know about twirling your tassels, one of the classic burlesque skills that every performer should (and can!) perfect. The Fox is on a quest to make sure that happens in a fun, safe environment for all.
You'll learn everything you ever needed to know about pasties, adhesives, tassels and ass-tassels, aka "assels"! Foxy will show you basic twirling techniques for assels and tassels with some individualized attention to make sure that you are as successful as you can be. For boy/bois, special attention will be paid to your tassel issues, so come packing! Please wear form fitting pants for assel twirling, and be aware that we will all be baring our breasts.
Foxy Tann began her career in 1997 at the Gay 90's, opening The Superior Lounge, at 35-minute tour de force of camp, choreography and cheese, sporting a tag line of "Where the jokes are cheaper than the drinks!" For the next two years, every Tuesday night, and later 5 days a week, Foxy Tann honed her now infamous skills as the first and only female female impersonator to emcee the drag show at the Le Femme Show Lounge. She earned a Jerome Foundation Performance Art Grant, providing significant funding for her production of Miss Biracial Upper Midwest 1984, an autobiographical account of Foxy's start on the road to stardom. In 2004, after being hounded for years, The Fox again told the story of Miss Biracial during The Minnesota Fringe Festival to sold out audiences, making it one of the top 10 Fringe shows of the year. The Fox has also made her mark emceeing and performing at everything from block parties to fundraisers, pageants, parades, drag, and of course burlesque. The Fox's first foray into the genre of burlesque happened in 2006 when The Naughty Naughty Show: A Not So Nude Burlesque Revue was commissioned by the Seville Cabaret in Minneapolis and The Wham Bam Thank You Maams were born. For six months, this weekly show upped the ante and put naughty back on its way to cult status in Minneapolis. All that popularity had to lead to something and it did. She and the Wham Bams won "Best Troupe" and "Most Vegas" at Miss Exotic World 2006, the largest and most prestigious burlesque pageant on the planet. Miss Exotic World opened up doors to The Fox and her girls. They performed with Margaret Cho in The Sensuous Woman (LA), traveled to London and performed to rave reviews on The West End with European burlesque sensation Immodesty Blaize, and packed the house with Tease-O-Rama and Little Minsky's both in San Francisco. Most recently, The Fox has been traveling the festival circuit, performing in Denver, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Las Vegas and more not to mention Eau Claire, St. Paul, Madison and Milwaukee! Wherever she goes, The Fox is not forgotten!
