The Playful Peacock Showgirl Academy & The 2013 Minneapolis Burlesque Festival are proud to present Angelique De Vil!
For beginners and experienced performers, this energetic dance class explores the combination of hip hop dance and burlesque. Theories of movement quality are explored through warm ups, across the floor exercises and a choreographed combination featuring various dance genres, including hip hop, jazz, pop-n-lock and bump-n-grind.
About the Instructor: Angelique DeVil is "The Girl Who Puts the Pop-n-Lock in the Bump-n-Grind!" Born and raised in North Dakota and Minnesota, she now calls Portland, Oregon home and is nationally known for her neo burlesque and unique choreography. After competing in the Best Debut category at BHOF 2011, Angelique went on to perform in the Dallas Burlesque Festival, Tease O Rama, and the New Orleans Burlesque Festival.
She has danced on numerous stages in New York City, San Francisco, Dallas, Seattle and Portland, and had the honor of teaching Strip Hop at Burlycon 2012. This is her first time performing burlesque in her home state and she is thrilled to be a Featured Teacher and Performer at the Minneapolis Burlesque Festival.
