Bios:
MAUREEN FREEHILL, MFA CYI
is an internationally recognized Dancer, Asian Theater & Butoh Professional with over 30 yrs. experience as teacher & performer including 5 yrs in Japan working with Butoh founders Kazuo & Yoshito Ohno. She founded & directs land-based retreats at BUTOPIA: the Pacific NW Center for Embodied Arts in Nature on Whidbey Is. WA (www.butopia.net)
CHRISTA RAY, MFA, VMT
has taught Voicework for 20 years. She is a professionally trained Voice Movement Therapist since 1996 and studied directly with Paul Newham, creator of Voice Movement Therapy in England. Other vocal trainings include Roy Hart, Fitzmaurice, and Linklater inspired voicework.
MELINDA HARRISON
is co-founder/artistic director, with her husband David, of Boulder based organizations Dance for Diversity & NatureMoves. Her work brings forth a creative interaction between the human body & imagination, and its environment and utilizes various art mediums: drawing; journaling; and movement in nature to explore personal myths and universal metaphors. She guides annual Wilderdance retreats & organizes site specific dance events.
