Raven's Keep, Top Souls, Scarlet Revolt, Will Woodrow Project
Join us for a great show 6/30/17 with Raven's Keep, Top Souls, Scarlet Revolt, Will Woodrow Project
Raven's Keep is a hard-rockin' band with a sound of it's own. Fronted by lead singer and founder Glenda Chambers, with her unique voice and adding in some occasional keys, (influences include Heart, Rush, Led Zeppelin) the band is based around that and the rockin' melodic riffs of guitar extraordinaire, Loren Lo Woods. Lo Woods is a guitarist of some renown. He has been reviewed in all the major guitar magazines and has performed with members of Johnny Winter, The Allman Brothers, Captain Beyond, Rick Derringer, John Mellencamp and many more. Loren "Lo" has a guitar style that is different from any guitarist you've ever heard and to this everyone agrees; if you hear the music you will become instantly attached to it and it will make an impression on you for the rest of your life, guaranteed! Then there's Tony Stevens holding down the low end on bass. Tony is originally from San Diego. After 20+ years in Metro-Detroit he now lives in Columbus. Playing the "Originals Only" circuit in Detroit for 10 years, Tony has a No-Non-Sense, Shut-Up And Play attitude that can be seen in his playing. He plays Warwick Basses through SWR Amplification. Influences include Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Uriah Heep. Outside interest include riding his motorcycle across the country, running with his Huge Dogs, and collecting Vintage Basses. (30+ at the moment!) Tony is very happy to be joining Ravens Keep, and looks forward to holding down the Bottom End at a show near you!. Completing the line-up is the amazing drummer Mike Ryan (formerly of PS Dump Your Boyfriend). Mike is also currently playing drums for another great Indianapolis based band called Crambone. Raven's Keep released their debut full-length cd entitled "The Keeper" in June 2003. A few of the tracks on the cd, Black Cherry, Pendulum & Unnerved, to name a few, have been played on WFBQ Q95 (based in Indianapolis, IN.) and WKLU 101.9 of Brownsburg, IN. Raven's Keep plays local rock clubs in and around the greater Indianapolis area, has played multiple benefits including one in June 2004 at the Rathskeller (in Indy) to help send the Lawrence Central High School Band to play at the January 2005 Rose Bowl in California, and most recently, in October 2010 at the Long Acre for Pancreatic Cancer research. The band also played in May 2004 for the Mini-Marathon in Indy and have been asked to return the following years. They have opened up for national acts such as the Jackyl, The Bullet Boys, Lizzy Borden, and Kiss Army, to name just a few. Raven's Keep is currently booking live shows in Indiana and surrounding states, promoting "The Keeper" cd still and working on new material for the next cd. The recording of 4 new originals, (plus a couple of very choice covers) has begun at the Neon Cornfield Studio, owned and engineered by the amazing Mike Champlain.
