Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
2013 winner of the Tony® Award for Best Play. Welcome to Bucks County, Pennsylvania where siblings Vanya and Sonia have lived their entire lives in the family home. They spend their days doing nothing but lamenting their rather Chekovian lot in life. When Masha, the third sibling (who is funding their life with her movie star career), returns home with a beautiful and very young boyfriend, life as Vanya and Sonia know it is threatened. Inspired by the work of Anton Chekhov, Christopher Durang uses his play to comment on age, entitlement, and social media; all with the presence of overwhelming, ridiculous comedy.  A raucous and poignant play that is pure joy from start to finish.
