As The Innovator of Syncopated FunkLEO NOCENTELLI composed one of the most internationally noted,Grammy inducted songs forTHE METERS, named, " CISSY STRUT" and one of the most sampled guitarist of all times.


As well as, the many accomplishments and achievements, with and for THE METERS, Leohas performed, composed, recorded and toured with such great and iconic artists, such as, PETER GABRIEL, PAUL McCARTNEY, ALLEN TOUSSAINT, ETTA JAMES, HARRY CONNICK, JR.,GEORGE DUKE,STANLEY CLARKE, PATTI LABELLE, ICE CUBE, QUEEN LATIFAH, JAY Z & many, many more.

Leo Nocentelli is known as the funkiest, fast-fingered guitar player of today. Leo, is the lead guitarist, composer, innovator, and originator of the syncopated funk sound that defined his musical creations work in THE METERS who, are also known as The Pioneers of Funk. As the major musical songwriter for THE METERS, and penning the song CISSY STRUT" that has recognizably stood the test of time, Leo has been credited as one of the 50 top guitarist in the world of ALL TIMES.

Leo has written more than 200 songs, many of which were recorded by definitive artists such as, Peter Gabriel, Harry Connick, Jr., George Duke, Etta James, Robert Palmer, Joe Cocker, the Neville Brothers, Z.Z. Hill, Albert King, Patti LaBelle, Ramsey Lewis, Otis Rush and Trombone Shorty.

Leo has since gone out developing his style with varied elements that cover blues, rock, rap, jazz and hip/ hop, but, still considers himself mainly a funk musician. Leo has
performed from coast to coast across the U.S., including appearances at the New Orleans' Jazz & Heritage Festival, as well as, international tours, including, Tokyo & Osaka, Japan, Sao Paulo, Brazil and other European, spots.

In addition, to being a GRAMMY LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WINNING, recipient, a twotimeROCK&ROLL HALL OF FAME nominee, Leos, solo,musical compositions and contributions has continued to evolve, with appearances on stages and TV shows alike including Saturday Night Live , along with the recognition and special guest invitations by the major musical directors of , JIMMY FALLON with THE ROOTS BAND, CONNAN OBRIEN SHOW with JIMMY VIVINO & BAND and as a special guest invitation, to perform live with PAUL SHAFER, and the CBS ORCHESTRA on LATE NIGHT with DAVID LETTERMAN and recently appeared on the HARRY Show featuring Harry Connick, Jr.
