This month is a game-changer for us with a wide variety of styles including a super-fruited Berliner weisse, a refined bourbon barrel-aged cold brew coffee, and an intensely juicy DIPA, all in canned format. Sound good? Because we haven't even mentioned the bottles yet.
We also have astounding news regarding pickup deadlines for the beers that we believe should be consumed as fresh as possible. The pickup window for these beers was previously 21 days, but that's now being expanded to 30 days. Our QC gurus agree with your feedback that these beers have continued tasting superb at the 30-day mark and beyond.
The pick-up window will begin with a release party on Wednesday, July 19th at the Lomaland Fermentorium beginning at 12pm, so come by, grab your bottles & cans, and let's party!

WIZARD & GRAF Our first collaboration with the fine folks at Wandering Aengus, this formidably tasty beverage was achieved through a blend of grisette & unfermented Wickson apple juice, which was then fermented with a bunch of house cultures before spending some time in a clay amphora, and finished by months of bottle-conditioning. The resulting beer is tart, funky, and complex, with an intriguing and distinctive minerality derived from its time in the amphora. TRANSIT OF VENUS **Bottles remaining after this month's BPT sale will see distribution in select Southern California markets. This sensationally tasty grisettea sessionable relative of the saison, originally hailing from Belgiums Hainaut provincewas brought to delicious fruition via a rye-forward malt bill and a Brett-heavy amalgam of our house microflora. The resulting beer is delightfully refreshing and intriguingly complex, with a profile thats rustic, spicy, and peppered with notes of hay and pastoral funk that rest lightly on a crisp, lemony acidity. MONSTERS' PARK AGED IN ST. CROIX RUM BARRELS This is Monsters Parkour hulking, cantankerous imperial stoutaged in fragrant, fruity St. Croix rum barrels. MONSTERS' PARK AGED IN ST. CROIX RUM BARRELS W/ CINNAMON & ALLSPICE This version of Monsters' Park was aged in fragrant, fruity St. Croix rum barrels with cinnamon and allspice. The barrel character is immediately evident on the nose and only grows more intense in the flavor, interweaving with the spices and massive roast character of the beer to yield an enchantingly complex and wholly delicious result. BOURBON BARREL-AGED PERU EL PALTO COLD BREW COFFEE *Sold in a 2-pack of 12oz cans The contents of these lavish 12oz cans arose from a stupefyingly delicious union of bourbon barrels and coffee beans. Huge, chocolatey flavors and aromas are beautifully accentuated by the oak and bourbon character of the barrels, yielding the kind of unique, boundary-pushing flavor profile that got us into the whole starting-a-coffee-roastery thing in the first place. BOTTLE PURCHASE DETAILS: Starting Tuesday, 7/11/2017 at 10am for League members and Sunday, 7/16/2017 at 10am for the general public, you will be able to purchase tickets for Hedge Witch DIPA, Star Metal, Monsters' Park Aged In St. Croix Rum Barrels, Monsters' Park Aged In St. Croix Rum Barrels W/ Cinnamon & Allspice, Wizard & Graf, Transit of Venus, and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Peru El Palto Cold Brew Coffee. The general public will be able to pick-up bottles at the Lomaland Fermentorium tasting room during the period from 12pm on Wednesday, 7/19/2017, until 10pm on Wednesday, 9/13/2017. League members will have until Wednesday, 10/11/2017 to pick up their bottles/cans. Unfortunately, no exceptions can be made to either the bottle limit, nor the pick-up window and PROXIES ARE NOT ALLOWED. You cannot pick-up your bottles at the North Park Flavordome. **Any bottles not retrieved by Wednesday, 9/13/2017 (Wednesday, 10/11/2017 for League members) will be surrendered back to the brewery (NO exceptions).** Please read the additional details below for further information on proxies and bottle pickup names.
RELEASE PARTY: Your tickets admit you to a release party on 7/19/2017 at the Lomaland Fermentorium tasting room starting at 12pm. This will be the easiest and most fun day to pick-up your bottles. We will have some cool stuff on-tap, and it'll be a damn good time. If you've been meaning to visit us to buy some of our super rad glassware, a couple bags of our awesome house roasted coffee, and a shirt or two, this is the time to do it.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: In order to pick-up your bottles, you will need to show your valid photo ID; it must be your ID and the name MUST match the name on the credit card of the ticket buyer (i.e. only you can pick up your bottles; no proxies). Any sales that attempt to work around the bottle limit will be voided. Only purchase bottles if you are 100% positive you can personally pick-up your bottles within the pick-up window; any bottles not picked up before Wednesday, 9/13/2017 (Wednesday, 10/11/2017 for League members) will be surrendered back to Modern Times Beer.
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES: Please note that we will not issue refunds, exchanges, or returns. All sales are final.
SHIPPING: We will not ship the bottles. Bottles must be retrieved at the Lomaland Fermentorium tasting room during regular tasting room hours between 12pm on 7/19/2017 and 10pm on Wednesday, 9/13/2017 (Wednesday, 10/11/2017 for League members).
