Through the Fire: The Detroit Rebellion of 1967 History Tour
There is the saying history isnt written in the history books. That goes without saying if you are referencing the 1967 Detroit Rebellion. Take a tour on this robust journey from the 1800s to 1967 Detroit. Visit approximately 7-10 important sites where your tour guide, ASALH Detroit Chapter President Jamon Jordan, will describe the historic details that have been left out of the history books. These descriptions will give you a better understanding of the racism that lead to the 1967 Detroit Rebellion.

This tour will leave the Charles . Wright Museum of African American History at 9:30 AM. Please be in the Ford Freedom Rotunda by 9 AM prior to tour departure. Tour will be approximately 3 hours.
