A Heroic Life is an original take on the life of Serge Gainsbourg, France's most illustrious and infamous Jewish singer-songwriter. Born to Russian-Jewish parents, the film follows him from his precocious childhood in Nazi-occupied Paris through his life as a small time jazz musician who went on to become a legendary pop superstar.
