Sueños y Realidad Spanish Language Plays
Spanish Stage Premiere of "Sueños y Realidad"
Civil War, Infidelity, Cultural Clashes and Triumph
are the focus of student-written and produced one-acts at San Diego Mesa College
Four one-act plays -- written, produced and performed in Spanish by college students -- will be showcased on Friday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Apolliad Theatre at San Diego Mesa College campus in Kearny Mesa.
"Sueños y Realidad" presents vignettes of how our dreams clash with reality in contemporary U.S and Latin American society. Four one act plays touch on the following topics: The bond between boy soldiers in the El Salvador Civil War; a border crossing tragedy and triumph; how personalities and cultural misconceptions clash in a San Diego Diner, and see if the family bonds survives a modern-day love triangle.
