Macbeth at Puzzlewood
Back by popular demand, Butterfly Theatre Company are delighted to return to Puzzlewood with their latest production of Shakespeare's 'Macbeth', in association with Puzzlewood.
Witches wait for Macbeth in the woodlands. They dance in delight, putting their deadly prophecy in motion, whilst Macbeth grapples with ambition, greed and power. Loyalty is tested as Macbeth pursues the crown, but loses it all, in Shakespeare's infamous tragedy. Is power really worth the ultimate price?
You will be enthralled by this unique retelling of Shakespeare's beloved tragedy. Come and be transported as you follow the actors around this historic entrancing woodland.

Saturday & Sunday - 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.15pm start SOLD OUT
Due to the sell out of our weekend dates, we had added a limited number of tickets on an extra public performance on Thursday 5th September, 4pm start.

No interval
Your ticket price includes access to Puzzlewood for the day of the performance you have booked for - so not only can you see the play, you can also enjoy the woods in full! There is a lovely cafe on site, as well as picnic areas for you to make the most of your visit.

Recommended aged 8+ (be aware the performance requires standing/walking for approximately 75 minutes without a break, which may prove difficult for some younger children - please use your own discretion when booking tickets for children.)
Please be advised that this performance is promenade and will include walking around the venue. Due to the nature of the event, the ground will be uneven and audience members will be required to stand and walk for approximately 75 minutes. Sturdy shoes are required.
The performance will continue whatever the weather - please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. The performances would only be cancelled in the event of strong winds over 25 mph, in which case Puzzlewood cannot be open to the public - this is the ONLY time we would offer a change of performance date for your tickets, and would contact you via the contact details you provide when booking tickets to arrange an alternative date for you to attend.
We do not offer refunds on tickets under any circumstances.
