Chanukah Party Island Style with Meshugga Beach Party

Pull on that grass skirt or Hawaiian shirt, grab a dreidle, and come party with us at this Alameda Jewish community-wide Chanukah Party.

CHANUKAH ISLAND TIME
5:30 Activities for the kids - No kids? No worries! Just hit the Chanukah Beach a little later.

6:30 Light the tiki-torch menorah and have dinner

7:00 The bar opens with our signature cocktail, an Island Mai Chai (like a Mai Tai, but Jewish) and Meshugga Beach Party hits the surf with live music.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Price includes music, food, and drinks. Kids 5 and under are free. We strongly advise getting advance tickets and will be posting a link soon. Please RSVP yes or no now so that we can get an accurate head count.

We are also seeking volunteers to help with party planning, set-up, clean-up, and taking shifts during the party. In exchange for volunteering, we will waive the ticket fee. Please contact Charley Weiland at weiland.charles@gmail.com if you can volunteer.

Meshugga Beach Party brings together many favorite Jewish melodies with the fun, retro-cool sounds of surf music. The band puts on an exciting, high energy live show - dressed like rabbis, synchronized dance moves, the "dead joke scrolls" it's surfin' shtick at its finest. The band features guitars, piano, organ, bass and drums, and the occasional holler for good measure.
