Advanced electronic ticket sales for the APA DIVISIONS 35/45 DANCE have ended. Tickets may be purchased at the door the evening of the event. Dance is at the Washington Marriott Marquis, Marquis Salons 9 and 10, on Saturday, August 5th. Doors open at 9 p.m. Remember the Dance profits will be contributed to the local DC community-based organization, Trans Women of Color Collective. We look forward to seeing you at the Dance!


Event

2017 APA Divisions 35/45 Dance
This annual dance is conducted as part of the national convention of the American Psychological Association.  The 2017 Convention will be in Washington, D.C.  The Dance is sponsored by two of the Association's Divisions (or special interest groups) -- Division 35 (Psychology of Women),Section 1 (Black Women) and Division 45 (Psychology of Culture, Ethnicity and Race). his year, the following will be the Dance's 'Social Justice Partners':  Divisions 44 (LGBT) and APAGS.

The theme of the 2017 Dance is MASQUERADE: Unmasking Yourself, and will feature a DJ, world music, cash bar -- and an APA CELEBRITY SOULTRAIN that will celebrate our outstanding mentors, icons, and elders.  

Profits from the Dance will go to the local DC charity, Trans Women of Color Collective. So come and dance for a cause!  

Electronic ticket sales are available 6/23/17 to 8/5/17, including at the door of the event.
