Harmony through Harmony "a better us: a journey toward reconciliation"
What is Harmony through Harmony (HtH)?
HtH is a network of singing ensembles, that seeks to build community, where we expand worldviews, in order to develop leaders who will impact culture, through the fight for justice.
Basically, we combine the concepts of choir + character development + social justice activism. We gather people who wish to learn and serve and grow together, while making music together! Through our concerts, we raise awareness about injustice in our world, and present messages of challenge and hope to our audiences. We often partner with and raise funds for organizations that do front-line justice work, particularly those that address the injustice of sexual exploitation. What is this particular show about?
Each HtH spring show is the culmination of our seasons experience together, and represents some aspect of the journey of learning we have done over the past several months. This year we have been looking at the topic of reconciliation. What is reconciliation? Why is it important? Is reconciliation even possible? If it is possible, what are the steps towards reconciliation? And should we try to reconcile? Is it even worth it? We will be exploring these and related questions in the show, through a presentation of compelling story and songs.
There is also a lot of original music in the show, composed by HtH members!
This show was first presented May 30 to amazing reviews! We are taking a leap of faith and giving a repeat command performance!
Kids are welcome to come to the show, although it might be less interesting to those 5 and under (free admission for them!)
