Artist Statements:
Elizabeth Jennings
After years of composing jazz, as well as independently teaching and running my music school, I discovered I had a calling to find and share my own musical voice in a new way that felt particularly authentic to me.
The music that I am creating now is at once an authentic expression of my personal journey, as well as an offering to those seeking inspiration.
My artistic vision is to share a trilogy of meditative and enlivening albums which help awaken and invigorate peoples deepest creative gifts. My dream is that listeners will feel supported and inspired to both deeply care for themselves and to deeply care for the world.
The first album, Emergence, expresses a musical journey that feels both personal and deep.
The second, The Call, which I am ready to record, expresses a call to action and contribution. The third is an unfolding mystery.
Mary Lydia Ryan
I began my public performance life at two and a half years old and have either been running, skipping or often sludging through my musical journey ever since. My music has truly been the soundtrack to the rest of my life.
With four full length albums, two EP's and three singles under my belt (iTunes, Amazon Music, CD Baby.com) I continue to evolve the direction and intent of my compositions and artistry.
Mostly I want to bring peace, love and healing to the world through my art. Additionally, I love and appreciate my collaborations with other independent artists such as this up and coming performance with Elizabeth. It IS indeed a "Celebration" for so many reasons to bring this show to Seattle.
