PINNED BUTTERFLY - B8 New Works Series
Please join us this summer for our New Works Staged Reading Series. Every weekend from July 14 through August 13, B8 will celebrate local playwrights and their works via staged readings. This is a great opportunity to be one of the first to hear and respond to a new work and perhaps even have a say in what might become part of a future B8 season.
When the members of BKPRIDE decide to hold the very first Brooklyn Gay Pride March, a handful of secrets ignite, turning what should be a celebration of self into a scathing dissection of bisexual erasure, prejudice within the LGBT community, and what happens to love left out in the sun. As marching drums beat in the distance, war brews among lovers, enemies, and hearts. There's also a handful of time travel scattered about.
PINNED BUTTERFLY is a new play exploring the issue of bisexual erasure within the LGBT community and a searing dissection of a rarely-discussed problem.
