The House Theatre of Chicago, the company behind such magnificent shows as DEATH & HARRY HOUDINI and THE IRON STAG KING, triumphantly ring in the holiday season with a remount of their critically-acclaimed, completely re-imagined adaptation of THE NUTCRACKER -- and THE PENGUIN'S TUXEDO is offering you a special discount ticket for THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6TH, 2012!

SYNOPSIS:
The House's fantastical deconstruction of this holiday classic centers on Clara's journey to save her family from the Rat King before Christmas, with the help of a Nutcracker, a gift from her beloved Uncle Drosselmeyer. What unfolds is a heartwarming holiday story that weaves together riveting dialogue, astonishing puppetry, beautiful song and spellbinding spectacle to tell a darkly moving story of magic and mystery.

JUSTIN SAYS: This re-imagining of THE NUTCRACKER takes the beloved children's classic and turns it on its ear into something truly exceptional. It is rare for a theater show to make you feel like a kid again, and this show packs a punch with its wonder, whimsy and, yes, even pathos.
