Liz Sara has more than 25 years of experience in the local high tech community as an entrepreneur, business leader and angel investor.
In 2001, she founded Best Marketing, LLC to provide early-stage tech companies with strategic marketing services and expertise. Since inception, she has worked for more than 90 companies, assisting them increase revenue and speed market adoption for their B2B products and services.
Previously, she co-founded SpaceWorks, an eCommerce software company, where she facilitated its growth to nearly $25 million; at America Online, where she rebranded the company as such, designed the PR program and IPO road show; at United Press International, where she facilitated a turn-around strategy focused on the corporate market; and for LEXIS/NEXIS, where she was instrumental in the creation and successful launch of a new product and division.
She is Chair of the Board of Advisors at the Dingman Center of Entrepreneurship as well as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence there. She is an adjunct Marketing Professor at Robert H. Smith School of Business at U-MD. She conducts workshops and provides mentoring to founders that are associated with the region's incubators and accelerators.
