KID'S TABLE - A CULINARY EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG DINERS ONLY!
Some of New Yorks greatest restaurants will open their doors to maybe the hardest of critics - kids aged 7-14 years for an afternoon of fine dining on Thursday, 08 June 2017 from 4:00 to 5:30pm.
The young diners, their siblings and friends will get to enjoy a healthy and tasty three-course menu prepared by the citys most talented chefs at hot ticket restaurants such as Agern x Great Northern Food Hall, Atera, Blue Hill New York City, Colonie NYC, Jean Georges, Rebelle and the Plaza.
All participating restaurants will prepare and serve three delicious, healthy and seasonal dishes. The chefs will have creative freedom and each restaurant will create their own specially crafted menu, yet, three selected raw ingredients - asparagus, guinea hen and strawberry - will somehow make their appearance across the menu.
Kids are invited without mom and dad - for a fun and unique experience that will excite their taste buds and expand their culinary horizons.

ABOUT KID'S TABLE
Kid's Table is meant to inspire children to take an active part in shaping the food systems of tomorrow, to introduce them to new flavors and open their eyes to a love of delicious, fresh and healthy food.
Claus Meyer, culinary entrepreneur and co-founder of restaurant noma, Copenhagen; GUSTU, La Paz; Agern and Great Northern Food Hall, New York City have hosted the Kid's Table event every year since 2011 in collaboration with a broad lineup of restaurants in his home country of Denmark. In 2016 more than 90 restaurants participated with more than 4000 children dining, while the event was also introduced to young diners in New York City with more than 260 kids patronizing the 12 participating restaurants.
Profits from the event will be divided equally between Meyer's Melting Pot Foundation and charities selected by the participating restaurateurs.
Meyer, believing in food as a driver for social change, and the Melting Pot Foundation will this summer initiate a non-for-profit culinary project in Brownsville, a vulnerable community in East New York. Here the team will establish a culinary education program for local at-risk youth, a community eatery, a bakery and a space serving the residents.
