Manifesto
Seattle based ilvs strauss brings to life an evening length performance of her show MANIFESTO at the Firehouse Performing Arts Center.
Noted in Dance Magazine's Best of 2014 list, Manifesto is a show that employs a California Red Sea Cucumber as a vehicle for exploring what it takes to be a woman, and what it means to be a woman who does not want children.
Set to the tune of a clear, concise voice over narrative, this playful, queer dance exploration interweaves the topics of womanhood, existential musings, and intertidal invertebrates, taking audience members on an engaging, genre blending stroll through personal ruminations and aspirations.
ilvs will be joined by both Seattle and Bellingham performers to create a living diagram of the internal world of Manifesto.
