Scott Huckabay is a world-class acoustic "guitar alchemist" that takes his audiences on epic sonic journeys. Artists as diverse as Jimi Hendrix and Ravi Shankar contribute to his inter-dimensional style. Scott is really quite phenomenal in his mastery of the guitar, and very unique in the creativity of how he plays... this artist does not just strum; he plucks, taps, strokes, bangs, pounds, rattles, shakes and even uses a bow, bringing through sounds of dolphins and whales from the year he lived with them in hawaii into very moving, rhythmic and lyrical compositions. He connects with the audience through his light-hearted presence and dancing around, shaman style, with bells tied around his ankes. It's really his shining spirit and guitar mastery that harmoniously captures the audiences.
Whether he is sharing the stage with such top favorites as Chicago, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Buffy Saint-Marie, Ram Das, Hapa, Bob Weir, Crosby, Stills & Nash and Joe Satriani for thousands, or playing solo in smaller venues, his command of diverse musical expressions of blues, folk, jazz, new age, fusion and rock, with a taste of flamenco, is hard to beat.
