AN EVENING OF POETRY AND GOSPEL
The three featured artists for the evening are:
E. Wayne Tyree,an amazing poet and social commentator who has done numerous one man shows in New York and the Eastern Sea Board with his often stinging but insightful spoken word;
Florence Williams, a powerful songtress in the tradition of Mahalia Jackson and Sister Rosetta Thorpe whose sings gospel with a joy and exuberance that is infectious; and
Gifted vocalist, actor, dancer, producer, instructor, and all-around entertainer, Mwanze Furaha,who has established herself as a skilled professional in a career that has spanned over 50 plus years.
Joining them will be the Voices of Praise and local artists Jania and Pashia Lord who sing with an unmatched purity and sweetness that speak to their reverence for God.
Together these performers promise an evening that will stimulate and uplift your mind and spirit.
