MAYDANCE is a three-week performance festival showcasing the dynamic local performance artists who energize The School for Contemporary Dance and Thought (SCDT).

Aretha Aoki's You, newborn is both topography and transformation, an iceberg, bodies as extensions and bodies on the verge of disappearance. The work is performed by Aokis Bowdoin College Students.

Katie Martin's Quartet elucidates a tension between physical presence as both wild and refined, as both human subject and aesthetic entity, and features former Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company members and Bessie Award-winning performers Paul Matteson and Jennifer Nugent and SCDTs current Artist-in Residence Kate Seethaler. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Northampton Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Exquisite Corpse is a collage of Interpretations of a figure. The work is co-created by Jennifer Polins with choreographers Robyn Coady, Barbie Diewald, Scotty Hardwig, Paul Matteson, Jennifer Nugent, Peter Schmitz, Wendy Woodson, and young dancers Lila Gaffney and Edy Savage.
