A Ceremony of Carols
Northern California Children's Chorus proudly presents the holiday classic, A Ceremony of Carols (Britten), for their Winter Concert.
The ethereal Gregorian chant, the vibrant canon of This Little Babe, and the delightful duet of Spring Carol are just a part of this masterfully crafted piece for treble voices and harp. It will capture the attention of your elementary students as they keep a watchful eye on the harpist fingers gliding over the strings and will amaze the audience in the beauty of the melodies set to medieval poetry.
Settings of Christmas Carols from the British Isles, performed by all choirs of the NCCC will balance out this holiday concert along with an audience sing-a long of traditional carols. Join us for an afternoon that will truly put you and yours in the holiday spirit.
Judy Britts, is the Artistic Director of the NCCC. The NCCC is comprised of young talent from Roseville, Loomis, Lincoln, Folsom, Cameron Park, Granite Bay and El Dorado Hills, with the youngest choir of 5 and 6 year ols, to the Concert Choir of upper elementary and middle school singers.
