At Tippet Rise, we take great pride in offering uniquely intimate concert settings for audiences of fewer than 150 people. To facilitate this vision and allow as many people as possible to experience music at Tippet Rise, each household is limited to 4 tickets per concert for up to a total of 6 concerts for the 2017 Season.
Whether it is people working in parallel, poetic parallels between the evenings musical pieces, or the main composition of the night, parallels run through this concert of electro-acoustic and acoustic pieces performed by a collection of duos, where the performers are equal partners. The LA Times described Chow as "a new star of new music", WQXR dubbed Doug Perkinss recordings as "polyrhythmic elegance" and Billboard described Todd Meehans work as "astonishing and entrancing."
