Lecture Title:
"Blending the Rigor of Science with the Innovation of Business to Reverse the Trend of Childhood Obesity"

Speaker:
Dr. Christina Economos

Childhood obesity is a complex problem that cannot be solved by a single sector or quick fix.  Believing that this issue demands a fresh approach, Dr. Economos will discuss how the founders of ChildObesity180 brought together a cross-sector group of leaders to identify innovative and integrated solutions with the potential to address childhood obesity on a national scale.

Christina Economos is the Associate Director of the John Hancock Research Center on Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Obesity Prevention; the New Balance Chair in Childhood Nutrition; and an Associate Professor at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and the School of Medicine, at Tufts University. Dr. Economos is the principal investigator of multiple large-scale studies examining childhood nutrition and physical activity with the goal of inspiring behavior, policy, and environmental change to improve the health of America's children.
