MUSICIANS

NURSE RATCHETT:
This homegrown trios roots were established in the heart of West Seattle. Nurse Ratchett incorporates pre -90s grooves with current ideas for a timeless sound that has been described as the most interesting music youll hear in a long time. With occasional injections of oddity, their radio-friendly melodic rock fuses various genres with appealing hooks for an unexpected experience.

SIMPLE MINDED SYMPHONY: Simple Minded Symphony is an 8-piece, young, 3rd-gen ska band from the Seattle area who are most definitely talented. Their sound is flawless and enlivening  as if Chicago played ska for a little bit, but then Patrick Stump came in and wrote Fall Out Boy songs with a horn section. Their cool 90s ska-punk rock sound will bring back memories of the good old dayslike signing yearbooks, eating ice cream cups with a wooden spoon, and watching the clock tick down on the last day of school before summer vacation. The upbeat and complete sound delivered by the brass section will energize you, and is complemented by solid guitar and percussion. The wisdom of their youth is captured in their lyrics. They are lighthearted, playful, and filled with innocence, and bring a freshly squeezed sound for a wide variety of audiences. The Simple Minded Symphony reminds us not only that life is what you make it, but more importantly who you make it with. So come join NWESC at our Summer Solstice Music Fest so we can celebrate these great musicians, and this wonderful world  together!  (band description includes excerpts from a Whats Up Magazine review written by Mark Broyles).

HANNAH DUFFY: Hannah Duffy is a singer-songwriter with a sound reminiscent of Nashville. Her introspective writing is easily compared to classic country, folk, and Americana, drawing parallels to rainy days and Sunday mornings. Hannahs relatable songs "feel like home" and her soaring vocals command attention.
As an avid horse lover and advocate, Hannah is excited to support NWESC at the Summer Solstice Music Fest 2017.

BELLEVUE SCHOOL OF ROCK: The Bellevue School of Rock House Band is comprised of young students who have auditioned for their positions as the best musicians within the school and are considered the stewards and mentors of it. As representatives of the school they play many events, festivals and concerts throughout the Greater Eastside area and have gained National exposure and great experience. They play a fun variety of old and new Rock & Roll covers intended to please a wide variety of audiences. And more than anything, they ROCK!

BLACK DOG: Hailing from the 253 region, Black Dog is an acoustic rock trio influenced by traditional and non-traditional folk music, pop and classic rock, bluegrass and alternative genres.  Music, friends, fun, fetch!

ERIC MUELLER: Eric's music covers the wonderful sounds of the 60's ... from Neil Young, John Prine, G. Welch, folk, to good 'ole blue grass. Be transported back to the days of 'Peace & Music' as we re-connect with each other at Cedarbrook Farms.
