TEXTURE

Curl Power Salon was designed around a focus and love for textured hair. We decided to take this night of burlesque, music, style and community to explore and illuminate the myriad of textures not only in hair, but in humanity.

As the current political climate pushes fear, separation, and conformity, one way we can fight back is with the celebration of diverse beauty. The printed media around us, while changing, still does not present the broad spectrum of human beauty and existence. We stand against shame for the bodies we are in; we have had enough! In contrast, we stand for exuberant delight in the precious, powerful, and varied bodies we are in!

At TEXTURE, we celebrate the wide range of body shapes, natural hair textures, skin tones, backgrounds, gender presentations, and fashion expressions. We celebrate you!

We're offering sliding scale pricing. This means you get to choose the price you'd like to pay based on what you can afford and how you'd like to support the community putting on the show. All tickets are general admission seating. Proceeds from ticket sales will be evenly distributed to the artists and performers featured in TEXTURE.
