Francesca's Book & CD Release and Fundraiser for the ACC Food Bank
Join me in celebrating the birth of my first book and second CD and in helping those in need in our local communities. Thanksgiving and Christmas are times of high demand for the Food Bank. You can help simply by attending this event!
Enjoy live music, yummy food, a wild raffle and a chance to sing together! A representative from the Food Bank will educate us about how and who they serve in Alameda County. You will also have the opportunity to sign up as a volunteer.

Francesca Genco, MA is a singer and sound healer, yoga instructor, bodyworker and interdisciplinary arts teacher. She released her solo album of improvised Sanskrit chants, Numinous River, in December 2008. In January of 2009, she collaborated with Troels Folmann, a Danish film composer, to create a voice library for Tonehammer (8dio.com/?btp_product=forgotten-voices-francesca.com). The response to the library and her CD has been positive and wide-spread and has led to several projects with composers from the US and Europe. Her voice was featured in composer Kaveh Cohen's Japanese trailer for James Cameron's blockbuster film, Avatar. She has also been featured in the Arts and Culture section of the East Bay Express (www.eastbayexpress.com/artsculture/sonic_boon/Content?oid=1207723).
Francesca is the founder of Song of the Body, which offers classes, workshops and retreats in embodied voice, sound healing, yoga and creative expression. She teaches her Singing the Body workshops and leads improvisational chanting circles in the San Francisco Bay area, on the east coast and in Europe. Her classes and private sessions are based in creating an intimate relationship with the body as we learn to listen and respond to its natural intelligence and resonance.
