Hilarious, Heartbreaking & Provocative Solo Performances
. . . Solo Sundays, S.F.'s premier monthly showcase, presents select samplings of veteran virtuosos and top emerging talent in the intimate Stage Werx Theatre now located in The Mission. Beyond stand-up and storytelling, solo theater creates casts of thousands - plus special effects - all bursting from a single performer. The results are hilarious and heartbreaking, passionate and provocative, ablaze with personal visions. Solo Sundays is produced by Ty McKenzie & Bruce Pachtman.

> "The Secret Adventures of Fat Woman & Remedial Girl"
Eleven-year old Louise suspects her grandmother is trying to kill her. Then things get weird--Cantonese death threats, the Yakuza crossed with "The Golden Girls," a 3-way wrestling match with an octogenarian. Will Louise survive long enough to uncover the mystery behind Grandma's homicidal tendencies? (WARNING: If you have an overdeveloped fear of the Zombie Apocalypse, do NOT come to this show.)

> "I know He's Chinese But If He Wasn't He'd Be Black"
Lil Gaidi is totally enamored with Bruce Lee, Michael Jackson and ditching Sunday church services to see his favorite Kung Fu and Blaxploitation films. Could it be possible that the cinematic and musical exploits of his favorite soul stirring, high flying and kicking movie matinee and LP idols will be enough of an inspiration to turn him into a Fist of Fury Dancing Machine? Or will he be just another kid feeling the wrath of his mother's belt strap?
Stage Werx Theatre is located in the Mission which means it's important to allow yourself extra time to find parking. Please note: in respect for the performers and the audience once the show has started we will not seat latecomers until the intermission.
