"On This Shining Night" at Duncan Memorial 12/2/2012
The Central Virginia Masterworks Chorale will present three performances of its 2012 Christmas concert, "On This Shining Night." The concerts will feature excerpts from G. F. Handel's Messiah, and other holiday selections including two by John Rutter and one of the Nocturnes by Morten Lauridsen, "Sure On This Shining Night." An appearance by the James River Ringers Handbell Ensemble will be a special treat, as well. Artistic Director Lawrence W. Heath will conduct the Chorale.
The Ashland performance will take place Sunday, December 2, at 3:00 pm, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 Henry Street.
Richmond performances will be Friday, December 7, at 7:30 pm at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 520 N. Boulevard, and Sunday, December 9, at 3:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 4200 Dover Road.
