| Description |
13TH ANNUAL SEATTLE JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL 2008
SOMEONE TO RUN WITH (Mishehu Larutz Ito) MOHAI: Saturday, April 12, 7:00 PM (Israel, 2006, 118 min, Hebrew) Director: Oded Davidoff Israeli Directors Panel: "Israel@60/60 Years of Israeli Film" Interest: Women, Israel, Relationships, Coming-of-Age
A heartfelt story of self-discovery, based on the best-selling novel by David Grossman. A riveting ride through Jerusalem at the end of a Labradors leash. A shy 17-year-old sets off to track down the owner of a lost dog and in the process pieces together the incredible story behind the owner's disappearance. Israel's unseemly underworld is backdrop to this surprisingly hopeful journey of self-discovery. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Miami International Film Festival.
Co-Sponsor: Animal Hospital of Factoria, Shlomo Freiman, DVM
Community Partners: Israeli Consulate in San Francisco & Tree of Life Judaica & Books
Followed by Israel@60 Panel: "60 Years of Israeli Filmmaking" -- a conversation with Director Eyal Halfon (What a Wonderful Place, SJFF 2007), moderated by Hannah Pressman.
