This workshop will be a safe and enjoyable exploration of the transformative power of meditation. It is an opportunity to learn simple, yet profound wisdom from the meditation tradition that is likely to give you truly effective ways of working with anxiety and restlessness.
Anxiety generally shows up as 'heady', 'floaty' and agitated mental/emotional experiences. There is a sense of having lost our 'centre ground'. Meditation helps us to recover that stable centre ground.
There are several kinds of anxiety and during this workshop we will see how meditation can help to address them all through promoting such meditative qualities as calm, stability and wholeness. We will also look at an often unacknowledged cause of our anxieties - our basic human vulnerability.
You will be introduced to several practices that can easily be integrated into your daily routine such as mindful movement and meditation exercises, both sitting and lying down.
Suitable for beginners and those with more experience.
