X-press Yourself: A Night Showcasing Women In Entertainment
Join us for our third year as we bring you another exciting night of comedy, live music and burlesque!
This year, we will also be showcasing local female artists.
Our hostess for the evening is Brantford's Melanie Crawford.
Recognized corporately as a highly skilled Facilitator & Curriculum Developer, Melanie effortlessly presents concepts & information in a succinct, captivating & impactful way. A master of communications, Melanie recently ignited the next level of her dream by transitioning from soft skills facilitation back into her roots in comedy. In 1996, after surviving a Traumatic Brain Injury in a highway accident, it was the stage where Melanie first felt a sense of hope...it was only on the stage where she felt at home. After 5 years of Intensive Cognitive Rehabilitation and over a decade of establishing a new successful life Melanie returns to the stage. Branding herself as a "Motivational Comedy Specialist" Melanie brings her wealth of Personal Development" knowledge to the stage and delivers an alarmingly consistent message at a whole new level of transparency.

Fiona O'Brien from Dublin, Ireland
After Emigrating from Ireland to Canada in 2012 Fiona began on a quest to stamp out the racism that the Irish face.One Lucky Charm at a time.
Fiona knows the Irish are not a race, but she cannot pronounce Xenophobia. A graduate of the Second City Stand up Course, Fiona quickly established herself by winning over audiences: semi finalist in the Absolute Comedy "Prove You're a Comic" competition, a semi finalist in the Toronto Comedy Brawl, a finalist in The 'Rising Stars Competition' at The Brantford Comedy Festival, and two time Tournament Champion at Flat Tire Comedy , and now banned from entering this year due to complaints by other jealous comics.
Fiona has charmed and opened for K Trevor Wilson (Letterkenny, JFL, Jeff Ross Roast Battle). After providing the world with three future tax payers ( all born by C Sections, just saying), Fiona has decided to dedicate her life to making sexually frustrated, disillusioned and bored people laugh with her no restraint, provocative, humour.

Our lovely burlesque dancer for the evening is Ruby Krueger from Cambridge, Ontario.
Ruby Krueger's a shy, but sweet girl who's been performing for 4 years across Canada. Her performances range from classic burlesque, fan dancing to pop culture impersonations. She loves shots of Burt Reynolds and introducing people to the world of burlesque.
