Speaker: John Murnane, Holocene Drilling

Abstract:
John Murnane, LHG brings his 23 years of local drilling experience to discuss how a simple day of drilling can go from a great day out of the office to a nightmare. The emphasis will be on foreseeing and preventing problems before we show up on a site with a sharp eye towards safety. Hell bring many obvious and not so obvious examples and hopefully a few laughs. It will be a casual talk just in time for the busy drilling season.

Bios:
John Murnane is Washington State licensed hydrogeologist who has spent the bulk of his 27 year career in the drilling industry.  He began his career as a field Geologist for the U.S. Geologic Survey in Menlo Park in Hydrothermal ore generation then moved to the Puget Sound area to work with CH2M HILL and Environmental Science and Engineering. From there he joined the emerging Cascade Drilling where he performed most every job except actual drilling for the next 21 years.  John recently joined Holocene Drilling to bring his experience in safety, marketing and administrative systems to this outstanding company. John has a Masters degree in Geology from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Finance from Western Illinois University.
