Join us for a powerful evening of spoken word, art and choral music as we celebrate the Christmas season and raise funds for Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore.
There are currently close to 4000 homeless families in the state of Massachusetts. On the South Shore alone, there are over 1500 families that do not have places to call home. Many of these families are single parent homes with pregnant mothers or young children. Needless to say, homelessness is a reality that is plaguing many of our neighbors here on the South Shore.
This concert is a part of our response to that problem. This year's benefit concert will support Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore, a nonprofit that has been serving homeless families in our community for over 30 years. Our hope is to help fund a new initiative called "Home with Friends" which will assist homeless families in getting out of homelessness and reaching self-sufficiency through jobs training, mentorship, and church community support. Through this new program, we hope to help address the complex needs of our most vulnerable neighbors and help provide a way for them to find their ways home.
Every ticket purchased goes toward addressing this important need in our community. There will also be opportunities to make additional cash and check donations at each performance.
