Whitby Steampunk Masquerade Ball
Welcome to a whimsical Whitby Steampunk Weekend celebration of etiquette, elegance, eccentricity and romance set in the beautiful and enchanting Met Ballroom.
In order to create a special atmosphere for all to enjoy, guests are actively encouraged to dress in their steampunk finery with the addition of masks adorning their faces to create a hint of intrigue, speculation, spice and secrecy!
Attendees will enjoy a delightful blend of live entertainment, theatre, ballroom dancing and a classic disco DJ set, with refreshments available from two bars, and food from vendors situated outside the Met Ballroom.
Doors open at 7pm for promenading, posing and pictures etc
Entertainment starts in earnest from 8pm and party till 1am
Please note your tickets do not guarantee the same seat all night. It is a Ball, and the idea is you should be circulating, gossiping on court intrigue and dancing of course!
It would be splendid to maximise the use of the dance floor and keep you on your toes. Seats are provided for resting only but you may not save a seat. A three second rule applies (time travel back and forwards is excluded).

ARCO STRING QUARTET
Arco is a vibrant, award-winning professional string quartet based in Newcastle upon Tyne and playing around the North East. Formed in 2007, Arco, consisting of violins, viola and cello rapidly developed into one of the leading string quartets in the region, and you will be entranced by their beautiful sounds and wide ranging repertoire from romantic waltzes to rock and pop.
THE VEDETTES
Purveyors of the finest freelance dance led by professional choreographer Beth Loughran who will lead the charge and the dance floor with moves reminiscent of the famed Moulin Rouge!
ATTICUS OLDMAN'S ABSINTHE AFFAIR

Steampunk Style maker and music promoter, Atticus invites musical mischiefeers and merrymakers on the hunt for free aether-radio promotion tae send details o their music and diaries o their misdeeds.
Whitby Steampunk Weekend welcomes a classic disco DJ set from Atticus to finish the evening's shenanigan's off.
